About Home Heath Care and Our Services
We at Barksdale Home Care are proactive in which practitioners and administrators work together to provide the highest quality of health care and services to our community in a multiphase continuum of care to - private homes, hospitals and institutions in the greater Westchester and Bronx communities.

Barksdale’s Home Health Aides /Personal Care Aides / Companions
help adults and children who are elderly, disabled, ill, and/or mentally disabled to live in their own homes or in residential care facilities.

Our Home care aides, also work with families in which a parent is incapacitated and small children need care. As well as with a discharged hospital patient who has relatively short-term needs.

Some duties of the Home Health Care Aide include:
Following prescribed Doctors' orders as well as light housekeeping and personal care needs. They assist with laundry, change of bed linens, preparing meals (including special diets), shop for food. Home Health Aides also may help clients get out of bed, bathe, dress, and groom. Some accompany clients to doctors’ appointments or on other errands.
